By car
The Monola granary is approx. 6 km from the centre of Lieksa. Driving directions: take the main road 73 and drive for approx. 3 km from the centre of Lieksa to the direction of Nurmes, then turn left at the Surpeenvaara crossroads. At the next crossroads, turn left to the old Nurmestie road that continues as Vartialantie after 800 metres. Once you have driven another 800 meters, cross the railroad tracks and turn left to the Monolanniementie road. Drive the birch-lined Monolanniementie for 200 meters, after which the road turns left and continues approx. 300 meters along the edge of the field to the parking area of the Monola granary.
